Will I have the same cleaner each time?
The vast majority of the time yes. Our company focusses on the well-being of our cleaners and as such the average tenure of our cleaners is well beyond the industry average. We do not employ transient workers. Our clients enjoy forging long term relationships with the same trusted cleaner, usually spanning many years. Our cleaners do have time off once a year around the traditional Christmas holidays and as such most clients are having a break from their cleaning at the same time. On the rare occasion that your regular cleaner is unable to service you, it is generally the owner and/or one of our other long term experienced cleaners who will take over and will be directed by your individualised and detailed job sheet. If this is to occur you will receive advanced notice of any staff changes.
What does it cost?
In our experience we have found that paying cleaners by the hour is a slow road to a painful place. Unsupervised people who are paid by the hour are often motivated to work slowly and there is no incentive for efficiency nor efficacy. We understand that clients wish to be able to compare competitive cleaning services. We believe we have developed the best way. We offer a list of services by which we can be held to account for every job and offer a 24 hour quality guarantee towards that end. The best way thereby to compare services is to ensure that each competitive price received is accompanied by a list of services to be provided and to hold the company to account this way. Unfortunately it is common practice for cleaning companies to win clients over with a cheap price and then they drop the amount of time spent on the job over time, resulting in substantial dissatisfaction. Do your cleaners speak English?
Yes, all of our cleaners speak good English. In our experience there is a deeper question underneath this one though. That deeper question is “how do you ensure that my instructions are properly followed?” At 1800 CLEANER, the solution is simple. Our operations manager will work with you to ensure that your expectations are clearly understood and catalogued in advance. These instructions are then delivered on the daily job sheets of the cleaners. So, for example when you buy a regular 12-point clean, if you have further instructions such as “clean the sliding doors each second visit and the fridge once per quarter”, these become points 13 and 14 on your individual job sheet. When our clients need anything new, they then communicate directly with our operations manager in writing who sets it in stone into the system.
Our system gives our cleaners a daily job sheet with our clients’ precise instructions on it. Our cleaners are incentivised by the successful completion of all of these tasks and we offer our clients a 24-hour satisfaction guarantee. Our operations manager ensures that the customer’s instructions are captured and communicated, so our cleaners can focus on what they do best and our clients get to breathe easy with sweet peace of mind.
Do you use Non-Toxic products?
Yes. In fact when we started the company we were gravely concerned by the lack of suitable cleaning products available and went into the lab to create our own under the brand name ecoLoveTM. They are fully non-toxic and PH neutral and use citrus acid as the primary cleaning constituent so they are pure and harmless to your loved ones, furniture and the environment.
What is your hygiene policy?
It is irksome to consider that many of our competitors will use the same mop on your neighbours toilet floor as they use in your kitchen. Beyond the normal cross contamination concerns this involves is the fear that they may also use the same cleaning cloths throughout the day on different clients. At 1800 CLEANER we use replaceable microfibre flat mop heads that are replaced after each client and are hermetically cleaned every day. Our cloths are rotated regularly, machine washed clean every other day and new cloths are taken into every customer’s home throughout the day ensuring that your home is pristine and hygienically protected.
How do you deal with clutter?
Our customers derive maximum value from their regular cleaning service by managing clutter and working towards achieving and maintaining a minimalist approach to their household. This ensures that the fine particle dust has fewer places to hide and accumulate. That way, when we arrive for their regular weekly or fortnightly 12-point cleaning service we find easy to clean open surfaces. We work together with our customers to achieve this minimalist goal over time and encourage them to have plastic clutter boxes available for this purpose.
Once the majority of loose items are placed in these clear boxes, most people find that they don’t use the majority of these items on a frequent basis and the boxes can then be stored. Any items that are important are thereby easily managed in a clutter free environment. For customers with excessive clutter we can arrange to help them get organised with our spring cleaning services.
We can even provide a de-cluttering and organising service too. It is liberating to deal with clutter which we find oppressive when it is building up around a living space accumulating dust and stagnant energy. It is of great benefit to work towards a minimalist environment both for aesthetic and health reasons along with deriving maximum value from your regular cleaning service.
